Only spent one season next to Duncan, but what a season it was. It didn’t take Aldridge long to fit right into the Spurs’ system.

To do-it-all Frenchman was never one to put up big numbers, yet made a significant impact in the last years of Duncan’s career. Nothing seems to faze him, which is a good trait with the game on the line.
8. Michael Finley

No longer the All-Star he once was, Finley joined the Spurs at 32 after being waived by Dallas, where he had spent almost a decade. The Mavs eliminated San Antonio during Finley’s first year there, but he would end up winning the NBA title one year later. He contributed with strong outside shooting (41.9 percent from three) during the playoffs.
7. Malik Rose

A workhorse for the grit and grind Spurs of the late 90’s and early ’00s. Very undersized for the power forward position but also pretty strong, Rose held himself in the paint against towering opponents.

A more talented version of Bruce Bowen, Green has become the ultimate 3-and-D player for the Spurs. He flourished in the Spurs’ paradise after being in and out of the league for much of his first two seasons as a pro.

Super active and borderline dirty defender during the years the Spurs were phenomenal but not nearly as entertaining as they are today. Didn’t create much offensively, but he was always good for some timely three-pointers.
4. Kawhi Leonard

Perhaps the best two-way player in the NBA right now. Almost unfair combination of length, athleticism, talent, smarts, motor and focus. More about the game than the flash, which fits right in with Spurs’ culture.
3. David Robinson

Could never won the ring carrying the team on his back, but with young Tim Duncan formed one of the most devastating inside duos the league has seen. Went out with a bang as he won his second championship in his final game in the NBA.

Incredible competitor. One of the most talented and clutch international players in NBA history. Known as El Contusion for his knack for putting his body in peril in order to make the right play. Absolutely beloved in San Antonio.
