All-NBA Teams: No international players for the first time this century

The All-NBA Teams are all-American for the first time since 2000. The league announced the voting results today and the foreign player receiving the most endorsements was Dominican big man Al Horford, who finished at No. 19, 27 points short of making the Third Team.

At least two international players had been named to All-NBA Teams each of the past 15 years. The streak was clearly coming to an end this season and it became obvious when no foreign players were selected to the All-Star Game in February at first. Horford and the Bulls’ Pau Gasol would only be named to the Eastern Conference squad as replacements.
