Stephen Jackson, the heart of the ‘We Believe’ Warriors who defeated the No. 1 seed Dallas Mavericks in the 2007 playoffs, appeared on ESPN’s The Jump on Thursday and said that team would beat the 2015-16 Warriors. Analyst Zach Lowe reacted with disbelief, which is the only way you can react when somebody says something outrageous just for the sake of it.
Let’s kill Jackson’s argument very quickly by comparing the offensive and defensive ratings of those two squads. Curry’s Warriors are way ahead of Jackson’s Golden State team, who won just 42 games in the regular season.
