Shaquille O'Neal is getting a statue outside the Staples Center and he learned about it on Jimmy Kimmel's show

Shaquille O’Neal will join Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jerry West and Chick Hearn as the new Laker legend with a statue outside the Staples Center. Funny part is, this was revealed to him during Jimmy Kimmel‘s late-night show. O’Neal looks genuinely surprised and incredulous too, but Kimmel was not joking this time around.

The Lakers confirmed the news soon afterwards.

Shaq, who won three NBA titles, one MVP and three MVP of the Finals awards with the Lakers, is No. 7 in scoring, No. 5 in rebounds and No. 2 in blocks in franchise history.
