NBA Free Agency 2016: Shooting Guards

Dwyane Wade is an NBA legend and Bradley Beal will probably be a star, but with DeMar DeRozan at his best he’s without a question the top free agent at the shooting guard position.

POINT GUARDS / SHOOTING GUARDS / SMALL FORWARDS / POWER FORWARDS / CENTERS

Player Option / Shooting Guard / 6-7 / Team: Toronto
23.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.0 apg

The three-point shot is still not falling at a good rate, but he's playing the best basketball of his career this season. Likely to opt out and sign a max deal somewhere.

Agent: Aaron Goodwin
2015/16 Earnings: $9,500,000
Career Earnings: $39,755,770
Restricted / Shooting Guard / 6-5 / Team: Washington
17.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg

We were expecting a breakout season from Beal, but didn't happen. Concerns about his durability having missed 81 games in the last four years. The Wizards will have to pay top dollar to keep him in DC, though.

Agent: Mark Bartelstein
2015/16 Earnings: $5,694,673
Career Earnings: $18,652,514
Unrestricted / Shooting Guard / 6-4 / Team: Miami

Played at his usual All-Star level once again. Likely to re-sign and recruit for the Heat.

Star potential or just a guy putting up nice numbers on a bad team?

Career Earnings: $1,352,395
Restricted / Shooting Guard / 6-6 / Team: Orlando
15.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.7 apg

Had a really strong start of the season that he could not sustain. A capable shooter that can help a lot of teams.

Agent: Bouna Ndiaye
2015/16 Earnings: $2,288,204
Career Earnings: $6,556,245
Player Option / Shooting Guard / 6-6 / Team: Cleveland

You will love him and hate him the same game. Looks like a star sometimes, but no consistency.

Career Earnings: $45,546,390
Unrestricted / Shooting Guard / 6-5 / Team: LA Clippers

The three-time Sixth Man of the Year is still bringing instant firepower off the bench. But how much left in the tank?

Career Earnings: $90,771,497
Unrestricted / Shooting Guard / 6-5 / Team: Charlotte

Career Earnings: $27,424,813
Player Option / Shooting Guard / 6-6 / Team: San Antonio

Looks rejuvenated this season in San Antonio, which makes us think this might not be his final year in the NBA.

Career Earnings: $111,039,615
Player Option / Shooting Guard / 6-5 / Team: New York

Didn't finish the year on a strong note. The Knicks were perhaps showing him the door with those late-season benchings.

Career Earnings: $43,380,777
Team Option / Shooting Guard / 6-5 / Team: Memphis

Indiana's Lance Stephenson was not seen in Charlotte or Los Angeles. Looked much better for a depleted Memphis team late in the season.

Player Option / Shooting Guard / 6-4 / Team: LA Clippers

Career Earnings: $105,230,607

Career Earnings: $4,083,676
Unrestricted / Shooting Guard / 6-6 / Team: Washington

Career Earnings: $7,609,981

OJ Mayo had career lows in scoring and field goal percentage, which will not help his case in free agency.

Career Earnings: $46,149,437
Unrestricted / Shooting Guard / 6-6 / Team: Washington

His signing with the Knicks was a head-scratcher considering he was not really setting Euro basketball on fire. Not likely to stick around another year.

Career Earnings: $20,844,297
