So, how big a fan are you of Donald Judd, on a scale of 1 to 10? If you answered 7 or above, you might just like a reminder that Artware Editions is selling Judd’s chairs, $1,800+. I’m thrilled, though I might have to save up, as collecting some of the “most recognizable and significant artist-designed furniture in existence” isn’t cheap*. And, for fun, take this test: Donald Judd, or Cheap Furniture?
*If you’ve ever looked at his vintage pieces at auction (gulp) you know the price tags are pretty serious.
All pieces are produced under the direction of Judd Furniture and are fabricated in California by one of the collaborators Judd worked with in his lifetime.
“A stamp issued by Judd Furniture is impressed on the underside of all pieces to authenticate the work.”
